Banco Comercial do Atlântico, hereinafter referred to as BCA, uses cookies.

This Cookie Policy clarifies which types of cookies are used by BCA on its web platforms to improve performance and navigation experience of the user.
At any time, the user can configure internet browsers to accept or reject new cookies, as well as disable previously stored cookies on your device. The rejection of the use of cookies on BCA's web platforms may limit or render impossible the normal functioning of some areas and contents.

What are cookies?
Cookies are computer files that websites send to (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.) in order to identify users and memorize their preferences.
When entering a site for the first time, a web server sends a cookie and the browser stores this information in the access device to the internet (computer, mobile phone, Tablet, etc.). The next time the page is accessed, the browser will return the cookie to the server, which will recognize the visit information (language, forms, approximate location,) facilitating user navigation.
What are cookies for?
Cookies serve to help determine the usefulness, interest, and of the websites you visit, allowing you to be efficient, eliminating the need to introduce repetitively the same information.
What kind of cookies are there?
Cookies are classified by their life cycle and the domain to which they belong. Relatively the life cycle, we have:

  • Permanent Cookies: They are resident in your device to access over a period of time. They are used, generally, to direct navigation to the interests of the user, allowing you to provide a more personalized service.
  • Cookies Session: These are temporary and are deleted from the device access to the internet when the browser is closed. The information obtained by these cookies serve to analyze traffic patterns on the web. Allowing to identify problems and provide a better browsing experience.
Regarding the domain to which they belong, the cookies can be:

  • Own Cookie (first party cookies): They are downloaded by site that is visiting and sharing the same domain.
  • Third party site Cookies (Third party cookies): are downloaded to the access device to the Internet by sites of a different domain from what you are visiting. This can happen, for example, on sites that have banners with advertising from a third party.

On BCA web platforms we use only our own cookies. We do not use advertising cookies on our websites, nor do we share information with third-party sites. Our web platforms do not user identification.

Some cookies are required [basic cookies and essential for navigation] and are automatically activated when you use our web platforms.
How to manage cookies?
All browsers allow the user to accept, reject or delete cookies, selection of appropriate definitions of browser, and the user is always given the possibility to change their permissions.
The user can configure cookies in the "options" or "preferences" menu of the browser.
Note, however, that disabling cookies may prevent some services of our web platforms work to properly, affecting, partially or total navigation.
