Incorporated in the following companies of the Group Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Atlantic Commercial Bank, Garantia and A Promotora, it is a well organized space, where you can read documents, in paper and multimedia.

Mediateca's target population is composed of teachers, students, entrepreneurs, private and public administrations personal, who work at study cabinets or as consultants, financial professionals, co-worker of the Group Caixa Geral de Depósitos, in Cape Verde and the general public.

Location:It is located on a building annex to the headquarters of the three mentioned companies, in Chã d'Areia, Praia.

Mediateca hours:
Mediateca is open from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 06:00 PM and, on Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 01h30 PM. The last admission is half an hour before the closing hour.

It has a free consultation room with audio-visual equipment for consulting audio-visual material and books in the following thematic areas:

Mediateca offers you the possibility to:

• Consult and read documents, books and magazines, in the areas mentioned above;
• Accede, through Internet, to a variety of external databases, in all domains, namely, the access on-line to magazines;
• Accede to CDteca, and consult CD-ROMs of general or specific areas;
• Accede to Videoteca, through the visualization of videos in general or specialized areas;
• Use software for auto training;
• Word processing and printing documents, and do photocopies;
• To consult reference works such as encyclopaedias, dictionaries and specialized glossaries;
• Accede to an electronic catalogue for consultation of documents available at the Mediateca

Available spaces:

• Reading space, with books, newspapers and magazines, predominantly in Portuguese;
• A space of specific technical information, in the areas of finances and financial system, administration, economy, law, reference works, statistics;
• A Multimedia Space, for consultation of external databases, auto training in computer science, consultation of CD-ROM and Internet access
• An audiovisual area, where films can be consulted in video;

Internet Space:

• Mediateca has 10 computers with Internet access.

• It is a free space with no-commercial contents, in Portuguese, through Internet.

• It is an active cybercafé, where you can consult information available on Internet and produce your original information, using specific tools in order to create your own page.
